Teaching Big Data Analytics with AWS

Abstract
In this talk, I present my experience teaching Big Data Analytics with AWS cloud services. I explain how global infrastructure, distributed storage, and parallel computing form the foundation of the Modern Data Stack. For each layer, I describe the teaching objectives and hands-on exercises I use to help future data engineers and data scientists develop a solid understanding of the technologies and architectural principles behind platforms such as Databricks and BigQuery.
